Description: A phase III study of the effect of re-irradiation for bone pain on urinary markers of osteoclast activity.
Eligibility: Patients with painful bone metasteses after previous palliative radiotherapy had been given to the diseased bone.
Objective: To correlate the response of re-irradiation to the change of urinary markers of osteoclast activity.
Participation: Patients randomized to SC.20 in selected centres in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Lay Description: The purpose of this study is to compare the response to radiation treatment to biochemical changes in urine.
